“Facing the path towards an environmentally sustainable world is no longer an option, it is an obligation.”

2019
We launched the first industrial plant of the PigHeat project to harness energy from pig hair, in collaboration with the R&D department of Bigas Alsina, SA.
“By mixing the pig hair from our slaughterhouse with plant biomass, we generate fuel for a conventional biomass boiler. This way, by reusing a waste product, we generate up to 10% of the energy we consume. It’s an innovative way to reduce our waste and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.”

2006
We installed our first photovoltaic panels.

1985
We were pioneers in the reuse of industrial water, once treated,
for the irrigation of our more than 112 hectares of forest.
